Project Description
This project was inspired more by abstract art than photography. The french painter Yves Klein famously worked with applying paint to the skin of naked female models as performance art in his work Anthropométries in 1960 but chose to make impressions on canvas. I realised photography gave an opportunity to capture this temporary art form and gained inspiration from abstract painters using a variety of colours whilst still incorporating blues close to the famous Yves Klein blue.
The photos are then printed at sizes close to life size either on canvas or fine art paper.
